Some time ago I wrote the post Bootable USB Drive for Windows 7 about a tool that would help make a ISO file in to bootable USB drive. Recently I told my father to use that tool and for some reason it did not work but he dug up a new tool from Microsoft that I did not know about. It?s called the (hold on) the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download tool (flashy name). He did not have an ISO file so he used a free tool from MiniDVDSoft called DVD ISO Maker that took his media to an ISO.

Now the question was why did he need all this? All I can say is that he now has learned what I did a long time ago family tech support sucks!

Mix Online Labs has released a great tool to help creating jQuery scripts for common interactive scenarios… If you go to the Glimmer site and read the related blog posts for more information I especially like the post by Tim Aidlin about the development of Glimmer.

The Internet Explorer team just made IE8 Beta 2 available and as normal my buddy Tim Heuer is on top of it. He has released a new Accelerator (the new name for activities) and updated my Wikipedia Activities IE8 Beta 2 release – my TinyURL Accelerator.

I also wanted to point out the new improvements to the Developer Tools, they have got some way cool things in there but by far my favorite so far is the “Select element by Click” and Style selection of a selected element.

This allows you to modify and remove style attributes extremely easy! I can’t wait to play more with the new dev tools.

Check out the IE team blog IEBlog to read more!

I know I am just a lowly developer but I due use some administrative tools and I have loved for a long time and continue to use the Sysinternals set of tools. They have just opened up a new way to access there tools from there blog entry (with way too long of a title so I shortened it) Introducing Sysinternals Live Beta:

Sysinternals Live: We're excited to announce the beta of Sysinternals Live, a service that enables you to execute Sysinternals tools directly from the Web without hunting for and manually downloading them. Simply enter a tool's Sysinternals Live path into Windows Explorer or a command prompt as \\live.sysinternals.com\tools\<toolname> or view the entire Sysinternals Live tools directory in a browser at http://live.sysinternals.com.

I love it now I can download or just run the apps in a batch file!
