This week I am in LA giving a Visual Studio 2005 Early Adopter training for Microsoft to a early adopter partner (I don’t know if I can so who). I only had a week to to the prep for it but Microsoft did have all of the material available from there “Rhythms” content.

Part of the material is using the new Team Services of Visual Studio 2005 but that requires some beefy VPCs and my poor little laptop just could not hang (dang I need a new laptop). So I setup a desktop box with Windows 2003 and running Virtual Server 2005 but I had not enabled remote administration so that I could Remote Desktop in to it, the linked article saved me in a big way. Windows Server Hacks: Remotely Enable Remote Desktop So now I sit on Sunday night in LA doing more preparation for the class.

I do have to say that I had played with VS 2005 for the last few months but over the last week I have found that there is soooooo much more cool stuff about it then I would have ever found by my self! If you can get in to some Early Adopter training for it get there!!!

Email Encoder: Avoid E-mail Spam

Looks like Microsoft is now trying to help them selves in the perception issue with the Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware it is now beta but looks good. I have been running it today and have talked to others that have run it for a week or so now with no problems.

So now with XP service pack 2 and Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware I think most people are going to not be hurt too badly in the big bad net.

I am a huge gadget freak and I hate this time of year because the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is on this time of year and it shows me that once again I will be fighting with my wife on what I “need” to get .

OK I know this seams strange but I am not a “sports” fan at all! But I do like just about any sport live, at a venue and enjoyed with friends. My company gets Chargers tickets each year and if the tickets can’t be used for “sales” purposes  then they go up for grabs for us in the company. I had the tickets for Sep 19th (my birthday) but something came-up and I could not go but I was lucky and got the last regular season tickets.

It was a fun game but I think American football needs to take a page from English football (that is soccer to us yanks). When I was working in England a while back I was extremely fortunate to get to go to two Newcastle United games. My relatives (really Sam's) have season tickets that include access to a suite or club that has a buffet and a bar staff so before the game you sit, eat and drink (a lot) with a large group then before you go out to the game you fill in a drink order for half time. After the gave they serve desert, coffee and more drink! It is a blast and the perfect way to see a game, as much fun as tailgating is here this was more fun!

So any way I just made a simple post more in depth then needed but well I guess that is what this space is for. Here are some pictures of my son and his buddy before and after the Chargers game.
